How to build it
- Square one end of the board, then mark four 3½″ squares, allowing for the saw kerf between each.
- Cut the squares and check that each one sits flat without rocking.
- Sand the faces and ease every edge so the coasters don't chip.
- Apply three thin coats of wipe-on poly, sanding lightly between coats, so water rings wipe away.
- Stick a cork pad on the bottom of each coaster.
